Director of Design and Construction
We are seeking an experienced individual to manage all phases of design and construction for a private undergraduate women's college with a large endowment. This is a permanent position to oversee extensive renovations to begin this year, and to manage a long-range expansion program for facilities on a 1,300-acre campus in a rural setting. New construction to include a 1-million square-foot athletic facility, 50 classrooms, and in the near future dormitories and additions to the library are also possible. Candidate must have 5+ years' management experience in a design and construction setting. Fundraising and/or grant writing experience are desirable.
Job involves overseeing all design and construction work, hiring and evaluating staff, meeting with alumni and other donors, reporting on progress of current and future projects to the Board of Trustees, managing budgets, and assisting with fundraising related to renovation and expansion projects.
